Flamingos in the Tree - Sound Studies

Live in the 775/Sound Studies Airing on Wolf Pack Radio and KWNK 97.7 FM

Sound Studies was a solo project I created when I started at Wolf Pack Radio as a Program Director in 2021. What began as a show disecting lyrics and discussing how songs related to each other turned into a way to put what I had been learning in my audio engineering courses to practice. Sound Studies ran during the spring semester of 2022 with a final count of 10 episodes, each airing weekly on both Wolf Pack Radio and KWNK 97.7 FM

When I returned to Wolf Pack Radio in the Fall of 2022 as General Manager, I had been invited to revive and produce a show from the 2010s that had largely been forgotten. This show was called Live in the 775, airing on KWNK 97.7 FM and Wolf Pack Radio. This show was recorded and filmed in the KWNK studio and was a larger collaboration with local videographers, audio engineers and bands to create a show that embodied Reno, both in name and in spirit. I produced and handled interviews from 2022 to late 2024.

Short Film: Home

Home was a short film I created as my final for Advanced Media Production.

Written while listening to Punisher by Phoebe Bridgers, directed while consistently checking my phone to see if we have just enough sunlight left to get the shot and edited right until the sleep deprivation began to set in.

With each student in the class working on each others' solo directorial short films all over the course of a month, this was mine.

Short Film Documentary: Queen of the Comstock

A short film about Julia Bulette, an iconic Nevada figure, created for a documentary filmmaking course where I had the pleasure of acting as Director of Photography.

Shot over the span of a few weeks, we presented it at the Reynolds School of Journalism Documentary Film Festival at the end of the 2022 fall semester.

Music Video: Know No Better by The Will Shamberger Band

This music video came after I had worked with The Will Shamberger band on an early episode of Sound Studies.

Driving out to Fernley and getting to take part in a project that was so enveloped in the Nevada landscape is something I won't forget.

On this project, I was a production assistant/assistant camera.

Logo Video - The Reynolds Sandbox

I created this logo for the Reynolds Sandbox in my motion graphics course. The initial logo I created is still in use today.

Reno Postcard

This was my first motion graphics project. It's a little rough around the edges, but it did help create a foundational understanding for animation.
