One of my favorite projects I've ever done. I worked with Golden Boy, a Portland-based artist that came down to Lake Tahoe for a local show. They found me from my work with Wolf Pack Radio and requested to appear on the show. I worked with them on scheduling the shoot, preparing any staff that was available and ultimately interviewing the band.
While this episode was fun because of the band's amazing talent and fun, color-coordinated outfits, this was one of the first experiences where I wasn't just interviewing peers or local artists that I would run into pretty frequently given the nature of Reno.
I still follow and keep up with this band and the people in it, and it's a great example of how music can connect people.
This video, while not my personal favorite, is technically one of the highest performing pieces of content I've ever made. I created this for my Social Media Video course and the purpose of it was to create a voice-over video using the school's podcast studio.
This video has received 89k views, over 5k likes and 50 comments.
In the latter part of my time in locally-owned radio, I was helping push X 94.9 as the company's brand new station.
It was a slower-paced indie station. I created a few organic social posts as well as the video posted here. The thought process behind the video was to try and emulate what the feeling of listening to the new station as you drive around Reno would be.
While I would've loved to create more (admittedly, this is my favorite genre), I do appreciate the opportunities I had to help in the beginning.
